Restaurant Kitchen Equipment Service Technician - Up to $40/hr!

At Whataburger, our Restaurant Maintenance Service / Kitchen Equipment Service Technician is responsible for making sure things don’t get spicy by repairing and maintaining restaurant equipment. They relish in performing preventive maintenance and ensure completion of work orders to meat the restaurant needs. They flip at the chance to communicate with management and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification I, II (required)
  • Environmental Universal Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification or CFC Certification
  • HVAC State Certified License
  • Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) Certification
  • Trade school graduate with diploma in commercial HVAC/refrigeration
  • 2+ years’ experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair
  • 2+ years’ experience as HVAC Technician, Commercial Refrigeration Technician and/or Maintenance Service Technician
  • Valid driver’s license with liability insurance, a good driving record and a satisfactory background check is required
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all Whataburger equipment, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), cooking and beverage equipment
  • Installs new equipment as needed in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Maintains parts inventory.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment, rooftop units, and ice makers.
  • Manages work orders to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) and maximize customer service.
  • Reports on work schedule and equipment repair statuses.
  • Engage with third party vendors and review/approve their work.
