In this role, the Manager of Bordereau Reporting will oversee carrier and distribution partner reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of reports. The role will also be responsible for overseeing the review and reconciliation of Surplus Lines payment processes.  

What you’d be doing: 

  • Manage and coordinate carrier and distribution partner reporting processes 
  • Review month end reporting for accuracy and compliance 
  • Oversee and ensure timely, accurate commission receipts and payments to/from carrier and distribution partners 
  • Manage Surplus Lines payment processes and review reconciliation 
  • Review Surplus Lines payment reconciliation 
  • Responsible for delivery of management and operational reporting, while providing corporate reporting needs (e.g. OKRs) when necessary. 
  • Generate ad-hoc reports for management 
  • Provides prompt, courteous, and excellent service to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and suggests innovative ideas for improvement  
  • Handles multiple tasks while meeting established process requirements and standards  
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and takes ownership regarding aspects of program reporting and escalation of issues  
  • Ensures issues are referred to appropriate areas; leveraging internal relationships to ensure efficient issue resolution; involves leadership when necessary. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.  
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet business needs  

 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 5+ years finance, accounting or reporting-related work experience with an overall performance rating of at least Effective or higher 
  • 5+ years Surplus Lines-related work experience with an overall performance rating of at least Effective or higher 
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and ability to meet established SLA’s 
  • Professionalism and accountability 
  • Track-record of success in managing multiple, diverse, and concurrent work activities 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives for process improvement  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel  
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills  
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions  
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills  

 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred 
  • Experience with modern data analysis and report automation tools, including PowerQuery, SQL, or similar technologies
