⭐Our Risk and Compliance team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced compliance professional to help build our 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) conduct and compliance capabilities for Monzo in Europe. We want to bring our Monzo magic to the EU and redefine the way that people interact with money. You will be at the forefront of ensuring we grow and scale in a safe and compliant manner.

The Conduct & Compliance Manager will play a key role in ensuring the business achieves and maintains compliance with its regulatory requirements and that conduct risk management is embedded across the business. As part of the second line, this role will work closely with colleagues across the business including product, marketing, financial crime compliance and customer operations.

This role will work closely with the Director of Conduct & Compliance Risk and other members of the Conduct & Compliance Team to deliver a robust compliance culture of integrity and high ethical standards.

 

You’ll play a key role by…

  • Support the roll out of Monzo EU’s Conduct Risk Management Framework, including in respect of vulnerable customers.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of conduct and compliance related policies, procedures, and standards. Working with 1LoD colleagues to ensure they are understood and applied consistently within the first line.
  • Contribute to the product design and governance process to ensure that the bank’s products deliver good customer outcomes and support our customers in meeting their financial objectives.
  • Provide compliance review and sign-off with respect to advertising and marketing materials.
  • Provide advice and oversight to teams 1LoD teams responsible for complaint handling and error management.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular conduct and compliance reports and Management Information to senior management.
  • Assist in the delivery of the Annual Compliance Assurance Plan, including undertaking assurance reviews in accordance with a defined methodology.
  • Contribute to the ongoing horizon scanning and regulatory change management process.
  • Assist in the drafting and delivery of appropriate conduct and compliance related training and awareness initiatives across all levels of Monzo EU.
