Overview

The Healthcare Investment Analyst position at Kornitzer Capital Management is the ideal role for an individual looking to join an ensemble team of portfolio managers and investment analysts in a collaborative environment. The Healthcare Investment Analyst will partner with portfolio managers across market caps, monitoring existing holdings, understanding trends and market conditions within the sector, and recommending new ideas for the portfolios.

                                                                           

Responsibilities


  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on companies within the healthcare sector
  • Monitor and assess trends, earnings catalysts, as well as macro and competitive factors impacting companies within the sector
  • Assist portfolio managers in developing financial models and valuation analyses for existing and proposed holdings
  • Construct investment analyst reports for proposed holdings
  • Attend meetings with management teams, sell-side brokers, and other industry resources
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to support the overall goals of the firm and contribute to a dynamic, innovative work environment


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in Finance, Economics, or another related field
  • CFA designation required
  • Minimum 5 years of analyst experience, 3 years of healthcare specific coverage
  • Familiarity with FactSet preferred
