About the position

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Delivery Driver to join our team at Ocean Beauty Seafood LLC. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering our high-quality seafood products to customers across a diverse service area that includes ski resorts and suburban locations in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. Your role will not only involve driving but also working in various capacities within our warehouse, dock, fresh room, and freezer, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our clients receive the products they ordered in a timely and professional manner. As a Delivery Driver, you will load, unload, stack, and secure freight to prevent injury and damage while maximizing space. You will verify and cross-check all products on your assigned routes against the corresponding paperwork, ensuring accuracy in deliveries. Communication with your supervisor regarding any shortages or inaccuracies is crucial, as is performing pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Regulations and local traffic laws. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the cargo area in accordance with OSHA guidelines and soliciting additional orders from customers to help increase company sales. Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, stack, and secure freight to prevent injury and damage while maximizing space.
  • Verify and cross-check all products on assigned routes against corresponding paperwork.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding shortages, inaccuracies, and coordinate corrections before departure.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle using the vehicle inspection report book.
  • Comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Regulations, local speed and traffic laws, and company policies.
  • Report any customer suggestions, concerns, or complaints to the supervisor.
  • Clean the interior cargo area of the truck to meet OSHA guidelines for seafood storage and transport.
  • Solicit customers for additional orders to increase company sales while delivering products.
  • Collect cash from COD customers and be responsible for cash at all times.
  • Turn in invoices, delivery receipts, money, and inspection reports daily.
  • Work in the dock, fresh room, and warehouse/freezer when not driving.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • A CDL is not required.
  • DOT Medical Certificate is necessary.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report - must bring a copy of your 3-year MVR to the interview.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Drug and background checks are required.
