Job Description

Meta Reality Labs is seeking an experienced community manager, with a background supporting technical audiences (for example, Creators or Developers) to join the Content organization. In this role, you will join a team of community managers and program managers across our developer and creator programs. Your primary areas of responsibility will include community moderation, community management, community mentorship, and virtual and in-person engagement activities. You will serve as a community representative helping your cross-functional partners to better understand community pain points and guiding them in their engagements.

Community Engagement Specialist Responsibilities

  • Serve as a community manager for Reality Lab's technical creator and developer communities.
  • Design community engagement programs that advance key performance metrics.
  • Moderate community conversations related to the operation of our technical creator and developer programs.
  • Lead the execution of community engagement activities (e.g., educational sessions, virtual Q&As, in-person events).
  • Report on the performance of your community engagement activities by partnering with your data science and data engineering partners.
  • Operate scaled communications for Meta developer and creator programs.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience in community management, program management, partner/developer communications, or technical content development.
  • 6+ years of experience in community management, program management, partner/developer communications, or technical content development.
  • Knowledge of developer and creator communities.
  • Experience operating community engagement activities.
  • Experience translating insights and data into highly impactful projects or programs.
  • Experience as a writer or editor of technical content.
  • Experience executing in a dynamic and highly iterative environment.
  • Effective communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

$129,000/year to $185,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
