We developed OtoSet®, the first FDA-cleared ear cleaning device for clinical use, addressing a widespread yet underserved health concern. Each year, over 35 million Americans experience issues related to earwax buildup, making it the leading cause of conductive hearing loss.  


 Our OtoSet Ear Cleaning Clinics (otoset.com) provide patients with professional, effective earwax removal using our proprietary device. This is an exciting opportunity to join a commercial-stage medical device startup poised for rapid expansion.

 

The Role


SafKan Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist with strong patient care experience to join our team. This role focuses on direct patient care, providing cerumen management and ear care support through OtoSet® in our company-owned clinics. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play an integral part in delivering quality treatment to new and returning patients, utilizing our innovative technology.


While patient care is the primary focus, Clinical Nurse Specialists will also support clinic operations and the development of our delivery model. Responsibilities may include providing in-clinic and event-based product demonstrations, sharing patient feedback, and contributing to process and product improvements. Clinical Nurse Specialists will work closely with the operations team to refine and enhance the clinical experience.


This is a part-time position offering a competitive rate with an expected weekly commitment of 3 days per week and 8-9 hours per day working at our clinic location in Pearland, TX. Schedule is flexible and rotates from week to week.


Key Responsibilities


- Provide patient care through OtoSet® treatments in SafKan Health clinics.

- Develop expertise in OtoSet® and all methods of cerumen management.

- Guide patients with suspected hearing loss to seek appropriate follow-up care.

- Contribute to clinic improvements and patient retention initiatives.

- Conduct live product demonstrations for clinic partners and at events.

- Take part in local marketing opportunities to help develop a growing clinic.

- Identify patient journey pain points and support adjustments for optimal care.

- Collaborate across teams to refine patient care and service strategies.

Qualifications


- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing or similar.

- 3+ years of direct patient care experience in primary care, urgent care, or similar settings.

- Skilled in cerumen management with a strong focus on patient rapport.

- Great communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excitement and commitment to SafKan Health’s mission and value propositions.

- Resourceful and adaptable to the dynamics of a fast-growing startup.

- Availability to travel for a two-day onsite training session required before clinic start date.

- Cleared background check; confirmed zero criminal record.
