Catalog Specialist II – Retail Business Services
Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global eCommerce environment and operates a diverse set of businesses in several countries, including Retail, third party marketplaces, eCommerce platforms, web services for developers. The RBS group is an integral part of Amazon online product life-cycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Troubleshoot and drive resolutions to ensure reliable and operationally effective flow of products, improve processes and reduce discrepancies.
  2. Work with various internal teams to help drive tools and process improvements that affect catalog management workflows.
  3. Drive appropriate data-oriented analysis, adoption of technology solutions and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goals.
  4. Manage stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes and escalations.
  5. Ensure high quality standards for interviewing and hiring employees at all levels of the organization.

A Day in the Life
To dive deep and understand different downstream systems and processes that impact customer buying decisions. Identify root causes for detail page defects, work with category SMEs WW and Tech teams to implement corrective-preventive actions and identify opportunities for automation. Analyze data and highlight gaps, recommend solutions, and drive/influence inter-function decisions. Use Tableau and SQL to create dashboards by task, analyze opportunities, identify patterns and implement proactive solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience in program or project management.
  • Experience interpreting data to make business recommendations.
