Instructional Designer & SOP Project Administrator ID - 11449

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Instructional Designer & SOP Project Administrator to lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and job descriptions from the ground up. This part-time, flexible role is perfect for someone looking for a temporary project where they can make a huge impact by bringing structure and efficiency to our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, instructional design, and process documentation, with the ability to coordinate across departments, conduct research, and drive SOP development. This position will report to the HR Manager and collaborate closely with department leaders to gather necessary information. Initial department research meetings will need to be held on-site.

Duration: 2-3 months, 15-20 hours/week

Starting Hourly Rate: $40 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manages the full lifecycle of SOP and training documentation development, ensuring timely completion.
  • Lead cross-departmental meetings to gather information, document workflows, and identify process gaps.
  • Conduct independent research to ensure SOPs follow the industry’s best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Work with HR to update job descriptions that accurately reflect roles, responsibilities, and required qualifications based on the information gathered.
  • Implement evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accessibility across all documentation.
  • Provide project updates to the HR Manager and adjust scope as needed based on organizational priorities.
  • Assist HR with training materials (manuals, guides, e-learning modules) to support SOP adoption.
